At 840 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Ingalls Park to Mazon, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Joliet, Hammond, Tinley Park, Calumet City, Chicago Heights, Lansing, Harvey, New Lenox, Munster, Park Forest, Homewood, Matteson, Mokena, Frankfort, Channahon, Minooka, Steger, Braidwood, Wilmington, Peotone, South Holland, Country Club Hills, Dyer, Hazel Crest, and Richton Park.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for northeastern Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
