At 741 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Silver Lake to Pistakee Highlands to near Prairie Grove to Huntley, moving northeast at 60 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. These severe storms will be near... Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, McHenry, Woodstock, Huntley, Fox Lake, Island Lake, Cary, and Johnsburg around 745 PM CDT. Port Barrington around 750 PM CDT.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central and northeastern Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms.
