Description: 
At 716 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Troy Grove to near Marshall County Airport, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 704 PM, a trained spotter reported a measured wind gust of 62 mph at Hennepin. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. These severe storms will be near... Spring Valley, Granville, McNabb, Magnolia, and Standard around 720 PM CDT. This includes Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 71 and 72.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for north central Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in the Quad Cities.
