Southeastern Carroll County in northwestern Illinois... * Until 630 PM CDT. * At 606 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Sterling, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Public. At 554 PM CDT, a public mesonet site reported a wind gust of 67 mph near Prophetstown. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. * This severe thunderstorm will be near... Sterling and Penrose around 610 PM CDT. This includes Interstate 88 between mile markers 23 and 44.
