Description:
At 533 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Erie, or 13
miles southwest of Morrison, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

Morrison, Prophetstown, Lyndon, Fenton, Round Grove, Prophetstown
State Recreation Area, Hamilton Corners, Denrock, Unionville, Leon
Corners, Malvern, Agnew, Sterling, Rock Falls, Emerson, White
Pigeon, Morrison-Rockwood State Park, Como, Douglas Park, Galt,
Grimes Addition, Coleta, Whiteside County Airport and Yeoward
Addition.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 15.
Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 13 and 16.
Interstate 88 between mile markers 1 and 44.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for north central
and northwestern Illinois...and east central Iowa.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
the Quad Cities.
