Effingham County in south central Illinois...
* Until 800 PM CDT.
* At 702 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Shumway to 7 miles east of Salem, moving east at 45
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Effingham, Watson, Edgewood, Xenia, Mason, and Heartville around
710 PM CDT.
Teutopolis around 715 PM CDT.
Louisville and Montrose around 720 PM CDT.
Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
Flora, Dieterich, Bible Grove, Wheeler, Sailor Springs, Clay City and
Bogota.

Interstate 57 between mile markers 142 and 168.
Interstate 70 between mile markers 80 and 104.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for south
central, central, southeastern and east central Illinois.
