Description: 
At 601 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Waynesville to near Harristown, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. These severe storms will be near... Decatur, Forsyth, Harristown, and Warrensburg around 605 PM CDT. Maroa around 610 PM CDT. Oreana around 615 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Boody and Elwin. This includes Interstate 72 between mile markers 120 and 146.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
