Description: 
At 519 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Elkhart, or 10 miles southwest of Lincoln, moving northeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Menard, western Logan and north central Sangamon Counties, including the following locations... Fancy Prairie, Sweetwater, and Cantrall. This includes Interstate 55 between mile markers 107 and 110.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
