* Until 545 PM CDT.
* At 503 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Waverly to 7 miles north of Carlinville, moving
northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

Springfield, Chatham, Auburn, and Loami around 510 PM CDT.
Divernon around 515 PM CDT.
Pawnee around 520 PM CDT.
Other locations in the path of these severe thunderstorms include
Rochester, Illinois State Fairgrounds, Riverton, Kincaid, Dawson,
Edinburg, Mechanicsburg, Buffalo and Jeisyville.

Interstate 55 between mile markers 77 and 104.
Interstate 72 between mile markers 86 and 118.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for central and
west central Illinois.
