Description:
At 613 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Hidalgo, or 8
miles southeast of Greenup, moving northeast at 75 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
Jasper, southern Cumberland, northeastern Clay and eastern Effingham
Counties, including the following locations... Hazel Dell, Wendelin,
Ingraham, Rose Hill, Woodbury, and Sam Parr State Park.
This includes Interstate 70 between mile markers 102 and 113.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 AM CDT for south
central, southeastern and east central Illinois.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
