Description:
At 1052 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Seaford to near West Pocomoke, moving east at 45
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Georgetown, Millsboro, Laurel, Lewes, Milton, Selbyville, Dagsboro,
Millville, Henlopen Acres, Gumboro, Cape Henlopen State Park,
Sycamore, Long Neck, Ocean View, Frankford, South Bethany, and Dewey
Beach.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
This severe thunderstorm may contain little or no lightning. Do not
wait until you hear thunder before taking cover.
