Union Parish in north central Louisiana...
* Until 800 PM CDT.
* At 707 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest
of Strong, or 16 miles east of Junction City, moving east at 40
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Huttig, Farmerville, Strong, Lapile, Urbana, Lawson, Cooley,
Marion, Felsenthal, Spearsville, Lillie, Oakland, Aurelle, Cecil,
Litroe, Linville, New London, Hillsboro, Bayou D Arbonne Lake and
Lockhart.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for portions of
south central Arkansas and north central Louisiana.
