Description:
At 844 AM EDT/744 AM CDT/, severe thunderstorms were located along a
line extending from near Ashford to near Graceville, moving northeast
at 55 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Cottonwood, Graceville, Donalsonville, Ashford, Cowarts, Columbia,
Centerville, Malone, Greenwood, Avon, Esto, Madrid, Gordon, Damascus,
Campbellton, Noma, Jakin, Bascom, Memphis, and Crosby.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM EDT/900 AM CDT/ for
southeastern Alabama...the Panhandle of Florida...and southwestern
Georgia. A Tornado Watch also remains in effect until 200 PM EDT/100
PM CDT/ for southwestern Georgia.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
