At 1258 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Grant to near Cullman, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Cullman, Arab, Good Hope, Holly Pond, Morgan City, Baldwin, Vinemont, Baileyton, West Point, and Eva.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for north central and northeastern Alabama. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. These storms have produced destructive winds with downed trees in the Bankhead National Forest. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
