Description:
At 1240 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Morgan City to 6 miles northwest of Good Hope,
moving east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Emergency management.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Cullman, Hartselle, Arab, Priceville, Good Hope, Falkville, Holly
Pond, Morgan City, Baldwin, and Vinemont.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for north central,
northeastern and northwestern Alabama.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
These storms are producing destructive winds. Downed trees were
reported in the Bankhead National Forest with this line of storms.
SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
