Description:
At 258 PM EST, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of
Ellwood City, or 10 miles southeast of New Castle, moving northeast
at 50 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Ellwood City, Ellport, Prospect, Plain Grove Township, Harlansburg,
Portersville, McConnells Mill, Cooper's Lake Campground, Rose Point
Park and Moraine State Park.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EST Saturday for
portions of west central and western Pennsylvania.
