Northeastern Collingsworth County in the Panhandle of Texas...
* Until 1115 PM CST.
* At 1010 PM CST, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles southwest
of Texola, or 9 miles southeast of Shamrock, moving northeast at 25
mph.
HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to roofs, siding, and trees is possible.
People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.
* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
eastern Wheeler and northeastern Collingsworth Counties.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CST for the
Panhandle of Texas.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
