...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 8 PM CDT SUNDAY FOR STRONG NORTH WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDTY FOR ALL OF THE TEXAS AND OKLAHOMA PANHANDLES... The National Weather Service in Amarillo has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 6 AM to 8 PM CDT Sunday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * WINDS...For today, southwest winds of 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. For tomorrow, north winds of 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For today, as low as 8 percent. For tomorrow, as low as 16 percent. * TEMPERATURES...For today, in the lower 80s. For tomorrow, in the 40s. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will have the potential to spread very rapidly with a sudden wind shift tomorrow morning. Outdoor burning is not recommended. * SEVERITY... FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5). WEATHER...Near Critical today...1 (out of 5). Critical tomorrow... 3 (out of 5).
