...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 12 PM TO 8 PM TODAY ACROSS THE CENTRAL HIGHLANDS AND EAST CENTRAL PLAINS DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY... .Strong northwest winds and very low humidity will return today along the I-40 corridor of eastern New Mexico from Clines Corners to the Texas border. Northwest winds will weaken and turn northerly while relative humidity rises after sunset today. * AREA AND TIMING...Central Highlands (Zone 125) and East Central Plains (Zone 126). * 20 FOOT WINDS...Northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph Friday. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values 7 to 11 percent Friday. * IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommend.
