Description:
The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from noon Sunday to 9 PM MDT Monday.
the Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* IMPACTS: Low Humidities...Unseasonably Warm Temperatures...and
Strong Gusty Winds could cause erratic fire behavior.
* AFFECTED AREA:
In North Central WY...Fire Weather Zones 275...281 and 282.
* COUNTIES AFFECTED:
In North Central WY...Big Horn...Hot Springs...Johnson...Park
Washakie.
* WIND: Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts of 20 to 30 mph Sunday.
West 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 mph Monday.
* HUMIDITY: As low as 12 percent. Humidity recovery will be poor
Sunday night.
* TEMPERATURES: Highs in the lower to upper 70s. Lows in the upper
30s to mid 40s.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are
either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of strong
winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
