PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST GA THIS AFTERNOON...
* AFFECTED AREA...In Georgia, Coffee, Jeff Davis, Bacon and
Appling.
* TIMING...2 PM to 8 PM
* WINDS...Northeast 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 26 percent.
* TEMPERATURES...Up to 72.
* IMPACTS...Existing or newly ignited wildfires may exhibit
erratic fire behavior, spread rapidly and become difficult to
contain or suppress.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
