Description:
The National Weather Service in Denver has issued a Red Flag
Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect
from 8 AM to 7 PM MDT Friday.
* AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 238, 239, 240, 241, 242,
243, 244, 245, 248, 249, 250 and 251.
* TIMING...From 8 AM to 7 PM MDT Friday.
* WINDS...Northwest 20 to 35 mph, with gusts around 45 mph. Gusts
as high as 60 mph near the foothills of Boulder and Larimer
Counties.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 16 percent.
* IMPACTS...Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread.
Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a
spark and start a wildfire.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
