Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by floodwater from Rio CUuebrinas.
* WHERE...Aguada and Aguadilla.
* WHEN...Until noon AST.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect
many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several
hours for all the water from these storms to work through local
drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 939 AM AST, emergency management reported ongoing flooding
across the warned area. Road closures continue, including
portions of PR-115, PR-418, and PR-4439, all in the vicinity
of Rio Culebrinas.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
