Expires:

Description:
* WHAT...Flooding due to overflowing of Rio Culebrinas. * WHERE...Aguada and Aguadilla. * WHEN...Until noon AST. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 606 AM AST, Emergency managers in Aguada reports that flooding continues in the warned area. The most significant impacts are along PR-115 between KM 2.1 to 22.3 and 27.1 to 28.0, where roads are impassable in several sections. Water levels will take time to recede, and additional rainfall expected this afternoon could lead to renewed rises and further flooding. Drivers are urged to avoid travel through affected areas and never attempt to cross flooded roadways, as conditions remain dangerous and may worsen again later today. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
