Description:
At 243 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles south of
Avella, or 6 miles east of West Liberty, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Washington, Avella, Valley Grove, Wolfdale, McGovern, East
Washington, Bethany, Claysville, Franklin, Hickory, West Alexander,
Taylorstown, West Middletown, Green Hills and Meadow Lands.
Another severe storm was just west of McGovern.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
