Description:
At 556 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Coudersport to Stevenson Dam to Snow Shoe, moving
northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Wharton, Snow Shoe, Clarence, Moshannon, Stevenson Dam, Sizerville,
and Austin.
For those driving on Interstate 80, this includes areas between the
Kylertown and Snow Shoe exits, specifically from mile markers 143 to
146.
Instruction:
Stay inside a well built structure and keep away from windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading
killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to
be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
