Description:
At 615 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Camp Sherman to 8 miles east of Waldo
Lake. Movement was west at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Oakridge, Waldo Lake, Tombstone Summit, Belknap Springs, Willamette
Pass, McKenzie Bridge, Hills Creek Reservoir, Cougar Reservoir,
Marion Forks, Santiam Pass, Santiam Junction, and McCredie Springs.
This includes the following highways in Oregon...
U.S. Highway 20 east of Albany between mile markers 63 and 80.
State Highway 22 east of Salem between mile markers 67 and 81.
State Highway 58 between mile markers 37 and 62.
State Highway 126 from Eugene to McKenzie Bridge between mile
markers 46 and 55.
State Highway 126 from McKenzie Bridge to the Santiam Highway
between mile markers 1 and 19.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
