At 546 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Dale, or 33 miles north of John Day, moving northwest at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Dale and Ritter. This includes Highway 395 between mile markers 60 and 87.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM PDT for central and northeastern Oregon.
