Description:
At 228 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles northeast of Long Creek, or 25 miles north of John Day, moving
west at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of north central Grant
County.
This includes Highway 395 between mile markers 68 and 87.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM PDT for
central Oregon.
