Description:
At 710 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles east of Lake Vesuvius, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Lake Vesuvius, Milton, Buffalo, Ona, Waterloo, Aid, Crown City,
Athalia, Grimms Landing, Green Bottom, Scottown, and Ashton.
This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 21
and 27.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
