Brooke County in northern West Virginia... Hancock County in northern West Virginia... * Until 1100 PM EDT. * At 848 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Weirton, Steubenville, Cadiz, Wellsburg, Toronto, Wintersville, Mingo Junction, Follansbee, Hooverson Heights, New Cumberland, Hopedale, Smithfield, Scio, Adena, Jewett, Dillonvale, Amsterdam, Brilliant, Richmond and Bowerston.
