...RED FLAG WARNING FOR MOST OF NORTHERN AND PARTS OF
SOUTHWESTERN NORTH DAKOTA LATE SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH EARLY
SUNDAY EVENING...
.Warm and dry conditions are expected across North Dakota on
Sunday ahead of an approaching cold front. The combination of
strong westerly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph, and
low relative humidities of 20 to 25 percent, will produce critical
fire weather conditions over most of northern and parts of
southwestern North Dakota. Near critical fire weather conditions
are expected south of the Red Flag Warning where winds are not
forecast to be as strong.
* WINDS...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.
* AFFECTED AREA...Northwest, north central, and parts of
southwest North Dakota.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control or suppress.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
