...RED FLAG WARNING FOR STUTSMAN, LOGAN, McINTOSH, LaMOURE, AND
DICKEY COUNTIES IN NORTH DAKOTA TODAY...
.Critical fire weather conditions will occur through early this
evening over Stutsman, Logan, McIntosh, LaMoure, and Dickey
Counties in North Dakota. Minimum relative humidity will fall as
low as 23 percent while westerly winds increase to around 30 mph
with gusts to 50 mph. Any fires that ignite could spread rapidly
and become difficult to control.
* WINDS...Westerly around 30 mph with gusts to 50 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 23 percent.
* AFFECTED AREA...Stutsman, Logan, McIntosh, Lamoure and Dickey
Counties.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become
difficult to control or suppress.
Instruction:
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
