...RED FLAG WARNING TODAY FOR WESTERN AND MUCH OF CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA, AND FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR ALL OF WESTERN AND CENTRAL NORTH DAKOTA THURSDAY THROUGH FRIDAY... .A Red Flag Warning has been issued today for western and much of central North Dakota. Critical fire weather conditions will return today due to southeasterly winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. Minimum relative humidity is forecast to drop down as low as 15 percent. Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control. Stronger winds and continued low relative humidity are then expected for Thursday and Friday across all of western through central North Dakota, including the James River Valley. Therefore, a Fire Weather Watch has been issued Thursday through Friday as well. * WINDS...Southeast 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph today. West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph Thursday and Friday. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. * AFFECTED AREA...Western and much of central North Dakota. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress.
