At 533 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Bailey, or 17 miles southwest of Nashville, moving east at 10 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Bailey, Middlesex, and Sims. This includes the following highways... Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 121 and 119. NC Highway 264 between Mile Markers 24 and 38.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
