Description:
At 423 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9
miles south of Boydton, or 14 miles northwest of Warrenton, moving
east at 30 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Warrenton, Norlina, Drewry, and Wise.
This includes Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 225 and 233.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Strong winds may occur well ahead of any rain or lightning. Do not
wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK SHELTER
IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
