Description:
At 458 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10
miles east of Shelby, or near Kings Mountain, moving south at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Gastonia, Kings Mountain, Bessemer City, South Gastonia, Crowders
Mountain State Park, Grover, and Crowders.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
