Description:
At 708 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm
capable of producing a landspout over Mill Creek, or 11 miles north
of Oak Island, moving south at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Landspouts and wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Gusty winds
could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects.
Locations impacted include...
Oak Island, Caswell Beach, Ocean Crest Pier, Boiling Spring Lakes,
St. James, Southport, Mill Creek, Bolivia, and Dosher Memorial
Hospital.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
