Description:
At 746 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Siler City to near
Albemarle. Movement was east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Asheboro, Albemarle, Pittsboro, Troy, Siler City, Badin Lake, North
Carolina Zoo, Goldston, Seagrove, and Badin.
This includes Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 51 and 72.
Instruction:
