At 345 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles northeast of Downtown Asheville, or near B.R. Parkway-East
Asheville To Craggy Gardens, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
North Asheville, Black Mountain, Woodfin, Swannanoa, Weaverville,
Leicester, Mount Mitchell State Park, B.R. Parkway-East Asheville To
Craggy Gardens, B.R. Parkway-Craggy To Little Switzerland, and
UNC-Asheville.
