At 324 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Silverdale, or 8 miles east of Piney Green, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Havelock, Morehead City, Newport, Stella, Swansboro, Hubert, Cape Carteret, Pine Knoll Shores, Silverdale, Broad Creek, Wildwood, Kuhns, Peletier, Bogue, Bogue Inlet Pier, Cedar Point, Mitchell Village, and Indian Beach.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
