Description:
Relative humidity values are on track to fall to near 30 percent
this afternoon, with winds of up to 18 mph, and occasionally
stronger gusts. The North Carolina Forestry Commission indicated
fuels were dry enough to support fire danger today for the
included counties. With dry vegetation, ongoing drought, and
favorable meteorological conditions, fires will be able to catch
and spread rapidly this afternoon.
Refer to your local burn permitting authority regarding whether
you may burn outdoors today. If you do burn, exercise extreme
caution as fires can quickly get out of hand under these
conditions.
