East central Burke County in western North Carolina...
* Until 730 PM EDT.
* At 624 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 4 miles west of
Lenoir, or near Gamewell, moving southeast at 30 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.
* Locations impacted include...
Lenoir, Sawmills, Valdese, Gamewell, Hudson, Cajah's Mountain,
Rutherford College, Cedar Rock, Lake Rhodhiss, and Collettsville.
