* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southern Mecklenburg County. * WHEN...Until 445 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 252 PM EDT, Heavy rain due to thunderstorms caused rises on small creeks and streams which are now draining into larger rivers downstream. Automated gauges indicate Fourmile Creek has risen out of its banks near Elm Lane, though the creek has crested in its headwaters near Matthews. The main impact will be flooding of low-lying areas such as the Fourmile Creek Greenway and possibly some yards of homes along Stevens Ridge Rd. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
