Description:
* WHAT...Elevated stream flows and nuisance flooding caused by very
heavy rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the
following county, Madison.
* WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
River or stream flows are elevated, especially along West Prong
Hickory Creek, Bear Creek, and other small streams with headwaters
in the high elevations along the Tennessee border.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 141 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are likely over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Instruction:

dangers of flooding.
