* WHAT...Minor flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, in north central North Carolina, Stokes and Surry. In northwest North Carolina, Yadkin. * WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 242 AM EDT, stream gages indicate that water levels are receding this morning after 2 to locally 4 inches of rain fell within a short period of time on Monday evening. However, minor flooding may still be occurring at low water crossings and in poor drainage areas. - This includes the following streams and drainages... East Prong Little Yadkin River, Heatherly Creek, Grassy Creek, Goff Creek, Little Yadkin River, Danbury Creek, Chinquapin Creek, Crooked Run Creek and Ararat River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
