* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of Transylvania County, North Carolina. * WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...At 234 AM EDT, the stream gauge at Rosman was falling steadily, but remained above action stage at 7.8 feet. Above 7 feet, Hannah Ford Rd, Island Ford Rd, and Green Rd are partially inundated, nearby low-water crossings are likely still impassable, and nearby farmland and parks are likely being impacted by floodwaters. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 233 AM EDT, River stage was elevated by previous rainfall. Rainfall has ended, but the river remains above action stage. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rosman and Balsam Grove. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Your message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks.
