* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Transylvania. * WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1255 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Lake Toxaway, Gorges State Park and Sapphire. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
