* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest North Carolina, including the following counties, in north central North Carolina, Stokes and Surry. In northwest North Carolina, Yadkin. * WHEN...Until 430 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1236 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Crooked Run Creek, Chinquapin Creek, Little Yadkin River, East Prong Little Yadkin River, Goff Creek, Heatherly Creek, Grassy Creek, Ararat River and Danbury Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
