* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of western North Carolina, including the following county, Transylvania. * WHEN...Until 245 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...French Broad River levels have risen to action stage and are elevated from previous rainfall. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1046 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Rapid river rises will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rosman and Balsam Grove. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or creeks. When it is safe to do so, please report flooding or landslides threatening roads or property to the National Weather Service Greenville-Spartanburg by calling toll free, 1, 800, 2 6 7, 8 1 0 1, by posting on our Facebook page, or via X using hashtag NWSGSP. Your message should describe the specific location where impacts occurred and the depth of flooding observed.
